Ridge Line Above the Vineyard Slopes

Open ground, wind and wide sea views

Open ridge with dry grass and vineyard slopes above the sea
Ridge crest, dry earth and short grass, vineyard slopes dropping to the sea.

The ridge is open ground, mostly dry earth and short grass, with vineyard slopes falling away on one side. Wind is the main factor here, and it can be strong enough to slow progress on the exposed sections. There is no shade at all, so the route is best walked in cooler hours. The surface is generally firm, though the edges crumble where the ground drops. Access is from a farm track that meets the ridge at a low saddle.
